Atlas

I have had the bike for about 1 month now and so far, I feel like it has delivered. I have ridden it several times for long periods and the battery is crushing it. A very cool looking and well-built bike for the price. It is heavier than I expected but it is what it is. You want the magic button you are going to have to compromise something else. Overall love the bike so far.

Part 3 of my review for the Atlas...

With 160NM of power the G510 motor is called the diesel engine of the Ebike world for good reason. But not all G510 motors are programmed to deliver power the same way.

For instance I own another full suspension China bike with the same motor and a different display. On that bike when I got it was programmed so aggressive it wanted to buck you off the back with just a touch of the throttle. With some help from the internet I was able to re-program that bike but it caused me some sleepless nights trying to figure out how I could fix that issue.

Not so with the Atlas. The Engineers at Magician and Bafang really did their homework to deliver a smooth power delivery in all the PAS modes they offer. The parameters in settings to change power output in my estimation should be left alone as Magician really got it right. Great job Magician.

The new C010 display is better than my older DC-18 Instead of Pas 1, 2, 3 etc Magician names it Eco , Tour , Sport, Sport + and Boost. Power is spaced very seamlessly yet just right in its delivery. My screen selection is Technology .

Interestingly in settings when it comes to tire size there is only one option -26 inch. That's odd because the first models released to the public had an option for a 29 inch wheel set. Also the 29 inch tires are still offered on the Magician website.

In regards of the Walk mode its only available by pressing the minus button going past the "off" mode. I find that somewhat a minor annoyance as sometimes I may stop for whatever reason to walk the bike in Eco or Tour . modes.

When riding if you press and hold the minus button it will ask if you want to reset the trip meter.

The gearing is spot on for the type of riding I do which is paved and hard packed Rail beds. Final drive for the smallest gear gives a pleasant cadence and good speed of around 18-20 mph. Finally someone who actually rides was allowed input on the gear ratios.

In settings there is a selection for Torque or Cadence . This one caught me by surprise as I did not know there was a choice to be had. In Torque and using 80% Tour and about 20% Eco I was able to get 43 miles with 37 % battery left so 50 miles is within reach. I have yet to try Cadence for trip mileage .

The seat post can be trimmed for someone who is shorter than me at five feet eight inches. My friend is 5 feet four inches and I think with the post trimmed he just might fit.

After being a little concerned about ordering from a young company that didnt have much info out on Utube, i can say im completely happy with my bike!
Awesome components, well built! Shipping time is what it is i quess in todays world. But other than that, damn good bike!!!!

Part 2 review of the Atlas ..

let's look at the suspension and ride.

Front KKE fork is robust and with 34mm fork tubes appears very durable so much so that the same fork appears on some E-motorcycles.

Not much info out there for tuning purposes but you can use 100psi as a baseline and work on your sag and comfort settings from there .

WARNING - To adjust air pressure on the fork you have to turn the bike upside down. Being an inverted fork all the oil is on the bottom of the left leg. When attempting to change the pressure oil will come out of the valve.

FYI with the Compression knob turned completely counterclockwise almost locks out the fork . My setting is around 6 for my 200lbs with gear. Has minimal stiction and that's a welcome relief from the cheaper forks out there. Ripples in the trail are more easily handled and result in less fatigue on the hands.

Rated travel is 5.5 inches. So far with my limited testing I get 3.5.

Rear shock

Proven quality shock with a unique mounting system not seen on any other bike I know of.Moment of inertia better than most four bar setups which gives the bike a unique ride quality. That mounting plus the almost five inch wide tires makes for a great cushy ride.

The frame which is made of 6061 Aluminum is the stiffest I have ever found on any bike I have ever owned and I've owned many. Its almost motorcycle like in its stiffness. This stiffness results in all your pedal energy going towards forward motion and not absorbed into the frame.

All in all Great job Magician on a quality product!

This is the first of many reviews I will post on my Magician Atlas.

There is a lot to unpack here and wanted to share my thoughts based on a lot of knowledge with the many Ebikes I've owned.

Just recieved my bike May 2026. Bike was packed superbly with lots of cushioning and thoughtfully packaged .Impressive for sure . However ,the derailler hanger was bent in two directions and waiting for Support to get back to me about replacement. It took quite the knock and must have been before boxing up in Taiwan .

To be clear the first impression is this bike is BIG and HEAVY. More so than any other bike I have owned. That's ok though as my main purpose for this bike is to ride Paved and hard packed Rail Trails.

The bike is spec'ed out very nicely and its hard to find fault with just about anything they did.

For perspective Im 5 feet 8 inches with a 30 inch inseam. The 17 inch fits me perfect. The cockpit is roomy and has a very nice posture while riding . Not to upright and not too far forward on the bars. Nice Job Magician.

I was really hoping for my new ride to go 50 miles. My first test was 43 miles and I had 37% battery left. Most of my riding was done with 80% Tour and 20% Eco. The G510 motor has a very pleasant hum to it and is hardly audible.

The display is different than my old DPC 18 and is better in just about every way.

Magician really put thought and work in this Atlas and it shows . I'm thoroughly impressed and Im a very discerning customer.
